Digital printing on photographic paper, variable dimensions
A series of small photos that tell the process of transformation of a charcoal for incense. The project stems from the desire to delve into the history of our culture, taking into consideration the word alchemy, a term deriving from Arabic with the meaning of "chemistry". Hamida places the attention in a simple process of switching on and off the object, with the precise desire to capture its changes moment by moment. It is therefore the search for the strongest potential in carbon, altought carbon is not an organism, but these feelings are very similar to the life of living beings when the spirit reaches them and when you leave, the energy source remains one.
