The series was born in the desire to translate the fleeting experience of light and time, and therefore of photography, into tangible and transportable objects. Each box contains a picture of a window printed on glass and a pair of cotton gloves. The tactile aspect plays a decisive role: touching and dusting the picture destined to fade away due to the UV printing method, which means witnessing its progressive disappearance, entering into perceptive contact with the object, the glass. However, this “physical remnant” of the image preserves the same function of the window as transparent membrane open to the world (Leon Battista Alberti) because it shares with ordinary perception the same basic structures (glass-window). Seeing through and seeing are in the same level: looking at the photography we are facing the object itself.
