In the photo you see a triptych with the title "our big deep blue dirty oceans", i.e. three connected images depicting three converging oceans. (2: 120cm x 80cm and 1: 100cm x 75cm; from 2025) This composition, of course, harks back to earlier triptychs but today it is no longer a depiction of a religious event and/or its people but rather has a different content. It demonstrates the interconnectedness of our oceans, which are increasingly influenced and transformed by humankind and their modern modes of production and lifestyle. The altar with the three candles in front of the triptych once again refers to the past, when our oceans were still pure and clean but today they are being sacrificed due to human indifference.
In keeping with the times there's no longer any painting technique. Accordingly the three images of the world's oceans are not hand-drawn, but rather enlargements of television images captured with a smartphone and produced in an industrial production facility on canvas. The whole ensemble is therefore a mix of photography and installation.
Nella foto, si può vedere un trittico intitolato "Our big deep blue dirty oceans", tre immagini collegate che raffigurano tre oceani convergenti (2: 120cm x 80cm; 1: 100cm x 75cm; dal 2025). Questa composizione, naturalmente, richiama i trittici precedenti, ma oggi non è più la rappresentazione di un evento religioso e/o dei suoi abitanti, bensì ha un contenuto diverso. Mostra l'interconnessione dei nostri oceani, sempre più influenzati e trasformati dall'umanità e dai suoi moderni modi di produzione e stile di vita. L'altare con le tre candele davanti al trittico rimanda ancora una volta al passato, quando i nostri oceani erano ancora puri e puliti, ma oggi vengono sacrificati a causa dell'indifferenza umana. In linea con il presente, non c'è più alcuna tecnica pittorica. Le tre immagini degli oceani del mondo non sono quindi disegnate a mano, ma ingrandimenti di immagini televisive scattate con uno smartphone e poi prodotte industrialmente su tela. L'intero insieme è quindi un mix di fotografia e installazione.
Auf dem Foto sehen Sie ein Triptychon mit dem Titel "our big deep blue dirty oceans", also drei zusammenhängende Bilder, welche drei zusammenfließende Ozeane abbilden (2: 120cm x 80cm; 1: 100cm x 75cm; von 2025) Natürlich knüpft diese Zusammenstellung an frühere Triptychen an, ist aber in der heutigen Zeit nicht mehr die Darstellung einer religiösen Begebenheit und/oder ihrer Personen, sondern hat einen anderen Inhalt. Es zeigt den Zusammenhang unserer Weltmeere, die immer stärker durch den Einfluss des Menschen und seiner modernen Produktions- und Lebensweise beeinflusst und verändert werden.
Der Altar mit den drei Kerzen vor dem Triptychon verweist noch einmal auf die Vergangenheit, in der unsere Meere noch rein und sauber waren, heutzutage aber durch die Gleichgültigkeit des Menschen geopfert werden.
Es gibt der heutigen Zeit entsprechend auch keine Maltechnik mehr. Die drei Bilder der Weltmeere sind dementsprechend nicht mit der Hand gezeichnet, sondern Vergrößerungen von Fernsehbildern, die mit dem Smartphone aufgenommen wurden und in einer industriellen Fertigung auf Leinwand erstellt wurden.
Das ganze Ensemble ist demgemäß ein Mix aus Fotografie und Installation.
