We usually put off clothes on a floor. So, I place this artwork on a floor, so that we can feel familiar to it. This artwork “Exuvia” consists of the accumulated pictures of clothes after taking them off at the end of each day. The multiple pictures makes a one artwork rather than exhibiting each individual picture.
Clothes stripped off messily sometimes looks like the exuvia of animals, and at the same time they are a clue as to finding out the evidence that we are human being. Although the act of putting off clothes is essentially private and common, we should keep seeking the evidence that we are alive from such a common routine.
