"Lar"

Project awarded by CECA, the exhibition "Los capitanes de la ciudad" is the result of a persistent

inquiry that offers a reflective look at this social issue that functions as an intersection between

the experiences of homeless people and the Brazilian novel by Jorge Amado Os capitães da

ciudade.

The theme is investigated in the Metropolitan Area of Guadalajara, where there are about 5

thousand homeless people. The creation and assembly of a group of sculptural installations is

carried out with construction materials, clothes, shoes, and some object elements.
