Project: keylogger bait
Object 1: confession (C.K.)
Object 2: confession (A.W.)
sizes: 80 x 133 x 2cm (confession (C.K.)) / 71 x 133 x 2cm (confession (A.W.))
The project is about sharing two secrets without revealing them. Only the patterns of the respective key sequences are visible.
The project was created in exchange with the entrepreneur A.W., who had the two objects made in his metalworking shop based on my 3D drawings. To represent his text without knowing his secret, he replaced all the letters of his text with a single letter (A/a).
After the exhibition the object with his text pattern came into my possession while he kept mine. As part of the project A.W. didn't know the final title ('keylogger bait') until the opening of the exhibition ("The Money Maker" - galleria civica di Bressanone (IT)).
(A 'keylogger' is a computer program that records every keystroke made by a computer user, especially in order to gain fraudulent access to passwords and other confidential information. Such a spyware can be sent via e-mail and secretly installed on the targeted computer).
