HIGH TENSION
"High tension" is an installation that investigates the function and use of words to describe the emotional and existential reality of each one. The combinations of terms chosen by the artist want to strengthen the connection between parts that is possible through language and its meanings. The sheet that is the body of the work is made up of two sheets sewn together suddenly becomes a connective tissue that envelops the observer offering an alternative and protective vision of reality. The red thread that runs through the canvas, similar to blood, symbolizes life itself and the connection between the various components of the installation. The butcher's hooks, however, add an element of tension and confrontation with the brutality of the outside world, the specter of a laceration, accentuating the contrast between human fragility and the need for protection and mutual support.
The common thread, however, is above all a metaphor of holding together, of "assembling one's own pieces". Your own "parts" as you wish or as best you can, overlapping and combining multiple aspects of life together.
