The installation "health dictatorship" consists of the small work in frame “wake up" (2021) (29 x 37 x 2 cm) and the chair named "emergency" (2020) (63 x 98 x 58 cm). These works are inspired by the current climate in which people are on-guard, surrounded by barriers, and have to adhere to specific distances and pathways in public spaces. The woven piece in the frame is made from commonly-used red and white warning tape strips and red and white cotton thread. Following the line of the strips, we have all been connected but now we always have to be mindful to keep our distance - have a proximity, but be separate. Is this becoming the new reality? Under the frame is placed the chair whose broken back is repaired with an embroidery which represents a cardiogram of a restored normal heart rhythm. It makes us think of the incredible job the hospital staff has done lately but the warning tape prevents us to sit down to rest and asks us to always keep a space between seats.
