Fuoco io son e son di soffio | Natale di Vetro Event 2007 | Bressagio Murano
This glass sculpture was born from a watercolor, its overlapping
brush strokes recalling Murano glass trasparencies.
Sinuous forms
are born out of matter obstinately tamed by the hands and creative genius of
men who for generations have passed on art they call “craft”.
Veiled
transparencies, delicate as butterfly wings, alternate with matter as dense as
magma, in a genesis of colours no palette has ever seen.
As the sunset on
the lagoon, a play of lights appears.
And to light
these creations are dedicated, destined to remain timeless masterpieces as a
kaleidoscopic lanterns to go on dreaming.
Glass sculture
composed by a brazier-shaped round metal structure, where a conic cage,
composed by concentric rings, is placed.
On such rings,
some pins are welded to allow the insertion of 170 flame-like elements in blown
glass and various colors: fire red, red/gold, melon orange, lemon yellow,
amber, topaz, amethyst and violet
Size: H cm 250; Ø cm 230.
