FUIDAN

“FUIDAN” means  turn on the lights in Dongguan dialect.In Houjie, it is customary for males born last year to hang lanterns in their homes in the first month of the coming year, which means increasing the population and prosperity of the family. The octagonal lantern paper is printed with various patterns that imply auspiciousness. This installation originated from the artist himself having a son in 2020, and asked to invite Uncle JIA to add a lamp to the exhibition hall. "FUIDAN" is not only used as a discussion space in the exhibition, but also during the exhibition period, the public will participate and complete the creation.
