Where does the drawing end and the sculpture begin? Both praxis balance each other : drawing is as quiet, slow and solitary as hot glass sculpting is a heated, fast-paced team effort. On the verge of disciplines and dimensions, I wish my drawings imply depth and space, and for volumes to contribute to the images' composition. Glass’ essential qualities — plasticity, transparency, and ability to diffract light are crucial; as is its symbolic significance, echoing with the subject : flora and the language it becomes. This piece pushes the exploration between drawing, sculpture and installation by breaking through its very backrground, which is also made out of glass. The pattern engraved on it, as well as the mirroring sculpted flowers invade the wall behind it, as light shines through.
