The work each of us undertakes to heal our own wounds remains hidden from the eyes of others, yet it leaves indelible marks.
The piece is set on a rotating base, allowing the viewer to see both its front side — smooth, like our skin — and its back, where the inner part of the trunk is revealed. There, the wounds of the tree have been repaired through an immense process of regeneration, leaving deep scars that are not visible from the outside.
As with human beings, who conceal their pain and strive to overcome it, the soul retains profound grooves of suffering.
