'Decision' is one of a 12-piece collection of heads called MOOD STATES (see annabelmerrett.com for the entire collection). Each piece demonstrates a state of mind, and I hope that Decision speaks for itself. The number of suicides right on our doorsteps, especially young men, is horrifying and deeply shameful. It must be the ultimate state of loneliness. It's odd to call this one 'popular', but sadly it is, which speaks volumes in itself. I feel sad about this piece mainly because it is thoroughly depressing that it is so topical and resonant. Upon viewing Decision, I hope an audience will feel less alone with despair and loneliness.
