With Fil Rouge, I created an intimate travel narrative that begins in Milan, my hometown. Through spontaneous collage, I combine vintage magazine clippings, found elements, yarns, and deadstock fabrics, along with impressions and materials collected during travels and at various events.
The notebook is a work in progress, an open space that evolves through layers of memories and experiences. It is also part of a site-specific installation in which threads of different materials and textures unfold and intertwine freely throughout the space, reconnecting with other objects placed in the surrounding environment. This allows the narrative to be experienced in an open and intuitive way, inviting viewers to follow their own path through the work.
The series explores travel as a personal, visual geography shaped by intuition, chance, and the interaction between materials and words. It reflects an interest in memory as fluid and reconstructable, and my desire to convey the emotional essence of places through a layered, tactile, and contemporary form of storytelling.
