Body. Resonance is a series of works in which glass becomes a body — sensitive, responsive, and capable of answering. I shape large glass panels using fusing and slumping techniques so that they evoke fragments of the back, delicate indentations of skin, and places where touch leaves the deepest emotional traces. Although fragile by nature, glass in this work becomes a carrier of both strength and sensitivity.
Body. Resonance emerges from the need for touch — the most fundamental experience shared by every human being. Touch is a language we learn beyond words. It calms, confirms, and restores the sense of being present. In this series, I want to speak about how closeness affects all of us in a similar way, regardless of our history or temperament. Touch is an impulse to which the body responds, but it is also something much deeper: memory, attentiveness, and an inner echo.
I create the glass panels so that they appear as if they have been shaped by someone’s hands. The indentations and protrusions suggest the weight of a hand, the movement of fingers, and the warmth of a gesture. Glass is not an object to be viewed here — it becomes a partner in contact, a material metaphor for skin. Not smooth and perfect, but sensitive, organic, and capable of retaining a trace.
Although the series grows from my own needs and experiences, it touches something broader — the universal desire for closeness and a tender gesture. I speak about emotions that I carry within myself, yet which are equally shared by all people. The starting point is personal, but the aim is to create a space where everyone can find their own experience — an echo of touch within the body and memory.
