When I created my "Sleepers inn Motion" collection the idea was to represent human beings in motion.
One year ago, I promoted the concept into sculptures.
But when Beirut harbor’s horrific explosion happened my feeling towards these same Sleepers in Motion changed, it took another dimension, as if they became instantly real individuals who lived like I did, this strange emotion accompanying the stupor. All these people who started to run away far from danger and destruction.
Immortalizing the “T” moment was a must, and the necessity of its expression raised in me the idea to collect pieces of broken glass to introduce them in the new concept of sleepers,
Sculpture Sleepers, the “T Instant” sleepers, filled with these pieces and immortalizing the tragic moment of the fourth of August at 18:07 pm.
With their in motion tempo, it symbolizes the Lebanese citizen, always faithful, stepping ahead and capable to face all kinds of tough situations.
The “T Instant” Sleeper sculptures summarize all these values.
Beirut is immortal
Lebanon outdo the attempt of being transformed into ghastly Lebanon.
