10.203 is a team of street artists and a same-named workshop and artist-run space. The space located at the former factory venue Eastcable in Saint-Petersburg has developed in a digital dimension with an immersive experience.
The installation represents a «traveling exhibition» of six physical paintings by each 10.203 artist and a screen, leading to a digital dimension that extends the exhibition space. The atmosphere and spirit of 10.203 space displays are captured in animation and sound, including on-site recordings, from the voices of the audience to the factory's noise.
Using on-screen controls, the viewer floats through the surrealistic digital version of the 10.203 space, filled with artworks and artefacts. The journey of the digital viewer begins at the entrance gate, continues through plastic curtains and stairwells, along corridors and halls. The digital exhibition space features 2 collective projects, “Nepravda” (translated from Russian as “Untruth)” and “Animal Show”, previously held at 10.203 "real" venue. Nostalgic and quiet, sometimes gloomy “Nepravda” neighbors with “Animal Show” that is fun and a little crazy.
The artists' full-size works, which precede the viewer's immersion into the digital world of 10.203, allow us to create a more complete picture of the collective's various creative works.
The multimedia project was created with the support of Anastasia Nesterova (creative producer), Alexandra Stelmakh (coordinator), Ekaterina Udalova (curator), Polina Ej (vision keeper) & Haptic.team: Maria Kobyakova (CG artist), Evgenia Bezginova (Unity software engineer), Andrey Baskov (developer).
