Turn and Face the Stranger series. As a child I loved to find images in the clouds. Usually one would appear for a fleeting moment before morphing to become another, or disappear forever. Clouds are not only the chariots of the gods, but the evaporated water they are made of becomes the water we drink. This series is inspired by the lyrics of David Bowie's song "Changes", which is about the intangibility of inevitable change within us and without. Sometimes standing still and observing the world around us is more valuable than action. In this way, we can preserve the magic. The works are hand-made digital collages printed with pigment colours on a thick shimmery textile with a blackout backing. They are sold unframed. For special requests the works can be printed any other size, and on a substrate of your choosing.
