Bicocca Superlab is a LEED Gold-certified office building in Milan, awarded the BigMat Award in Seville and the In-Arch Lombardia Prize. My photographic series was born during a commissioned follow-up of the construction site, with the intention of transforming documentary images into independent works of art.
Through this series, the construction site becomes a stage where light and color intertwine, revealing unique environments that are both raw and vibrant. The spaces are captured not merely as architecture in progress but as living compositions where the geometry of the building, the temporary structures, and the colors of materials and reflections create unexpected dialogues. These photographs aim to transcend the narrative of the construction site, turning the documentation into a visual exploration of how color and form can transform an evolving space into a place of suspended beauty.
Each frame captures a moment where architecture meets color, creating unique spaces suspended between what is and what will be.
