Construction Sites are Art :Series 1
Evidence of art on construction sites / Destruction of photo reproductions
This series of photographs captures the concept that "construction sites are art." At construction sites, countless works of art are unintentionally created through the craftsmen's process of "making." These fleeting artistic expressions gradually disappear as the building takes form. Through my photography, I document these ephemeral moments before they are lost, allowing the captured images to stand alongside my paintings and other works in an exhibition space. This approach invites viewers to share the perspective that "art exists within construction sites."
Construction sites often bear traces of spilled paint and solvents. To further the concept of chance , I drip solvent onto the printed photographs, creating unique trails on each print. This deliberate act challenges of photographic reproduction, introducing a layer of randomness to the artwork.
