“Memory Road” depicts an old, overgrown road covered with melting snow. The deep psychological symbolism of this work reflects the real processes taking place in our memory: how over time we forget the people and places that we leave. Eventually, all that remains is a fuzzy outline of past events coloured by our interpretations and nostalgia.
We might like to revive these events and walk along this road again, but that is impossible; the road has begun to blend into the landscape. Once, everything here was completely different. Now, only a distant memory remains.
