Photo is printing on double layered Kozo
Washi Paper from Japan. After printing , the photo is placed into the
water. Then i separate the layers, leaving 12 grams.
For the past three years, i have been traveling with a dancer from location to location.
The locations are difficult to dance . Mostly old houses or buildings that are about to be demolished.
The body asks to be freed from mental emotions.
“Your reflection, hitting the water.
Pebbles at the bottom of the stream in your knuckles, licking blood from
your fist, trying to wave, numb arm, hand in your face, scraping along a
tree, feeling nothing, clearing, running,
turning around, being lost.
An excerpt from the poem by dancer Emma Hanekroot”
