In my photographic journey, I have discovered beauty in the imperfect and nuance in the flaws. As a trained photography student who was taught the rules for a technically perfect image, I eventually discovered that the camera, for me, is not merely a tool for freezing time, but a conduit for embracing the unexpected. Through the exploration of chance encounters, unplanned compositions, and the embrace of imperfections, I seek out the moments when the unscripted part of life shows itself.
The billowing cloth, caught in a dance with the wind, serves as both a literal and metaphorical extension of the Shiloh’s creative energy. Shiloh is a talented painter and this image is the stand-out from a series featuring him and occasionally his work as part of a smaller project.
