Echoes" is a series of images, among which the ones exposed here, captured through photographs, taken in a natural environment through the exploration and research of fundamental elements that enabled the construction of visual support in line with my search for understanding the relationship of man with the Universe and his with himself.
Although apparently figurative, the images question appearances, signs and imagery surfaces. It is in the cloudiness of the technical image - and that dialogues with evidence of a (supposed) reality - that I graft signs that invite the observer to trigger their dormant memories in the "re-knowledge" of essential and archetypal characteristics of what is more common to us.
At first glance, the metaphorical force present in the images leads to an emotional, individual world, which can also be collective. The dream forces hid behind them, however, hints at a poetics that vibrates a note within me, or us, calling for a "re-look" at something we have forgotten somewhere. A new "re-look" for the space we occupy, for the time we live, to remember that the self does not exist. That only we could be remembered as something to be valued.
All of my work could be captured in its imaginary dimension as an investigative exploration of a marshy terrain between rationality and the collective and individual unconscious. I explore their correspondence and try to catch the bridge that at least makes them one. I look for the primordial roots from which we are generated and nourished. For this reason, I may institutionally seek the unconscious activation of archetypes that enable me to access the deepest sources of our vital essence.
The plastic results of my conceptions can and are constantly altered due to the intense experimentation and exploration of places, materials, spaces and voids that I find along the way. There is a continuous process in development, inside and outside me. My images are built on the trail of these infinite metamorphoses. They cannot stop. My world is permeated by this intermittent, latent, aching restlessness; loaded with so many and few memories.
