digital print on canvas.
From my research on decolonial painting, reimagining the pictorial surface over other interfaces to extend the perception of ancestry to the image without the need to be directly tied to the figurative imposed by the crisis of representation in contemporary history of racialized art. The flexibility of dispositions promoted by digital photography enables the unfolding of the visuality of this work in scales that challenge reality. For this, small scraps of textures were developed from the use of clay, indigo, lapis lazuli, argan and wax, which underwent a process of re-observation from the macro photographic lens in order to generate imaginary perspectives on the object. Symmetry arises from my research on the principle of calculus as communication and spiritual connection exercised by the Dogon (Mali) ethnic group, known by the ancestral domain of pre-colonial mathematical and astrological logic. There is a reason in all emotions.
