In this work, I am interested in the phenomenon of spatial chaos that emerges as the structures that constitute urban identity proliferate and deepen over time, adhering to canonical rules. Cities are born, grow, collapse, and reborn through the cycle of time (historical process). With each rebirth, cities acquire a new identity, forcing their memory to be erased and their identity to be stripped away. This situation continues in a state of flux. Adhering to historical processes, urban buildings proliferate, piling up on top of each other, becoming a mass. Disturbed by this, I seek to layer the urban fabric and distance it from its concrete form.
I want the viewer to interact with the work and experience the sensations evoked by the patterns formed on the multilayered surfaces. As a result, I want the chaos to transform into a vortex, drawing the viewer in. In my work, I problematize issues related to nature, the city, and identity. I seek to respond to the anxiety created by global and social issues through art. I strive to understand and make visible issues using the transformative power of art.
