Being an esperanza.
Esperanza means hope. A hope for what? For better future? For future in
which we don’t destroy our planet? For greener planet? For being on the other
side that is always greener? That is not a standard way of life!
Once
Cronopio invented a thermometer for measuring life. He defined the fama as infra-life,
the professor of languages as inter-life, the esperanza as para-life
and himself as super-life.
„The
inter-life [the professor of languages] was maneuvering such abstractions as
spirit and conscience, to which the para-life [esperanza] listened like someone
hearing rain – a delicate job.” (Julio Cortázar, Cronopios
and Famas)
So
delicate, being light as a shadow, weightless, without a volume that crushes the
weaker. Being a shadow means living a para-life, a life that avoids all the means
that are treacherous for nature, the means that define contemporary world.
Whole
surface of a shape of a shadow occupies the earth without making any losses…
although hiding the sun… but only temporarily – the Sun is constantly moving…
or is it the Earth that rotates?
