Auschwitz: Toilet facilities

I am submitting 5 images, which are part of a series of 33 panels about Auschwitz concentration camp.  The five images are scenes that victims and perpetrators would have seen while at Auschwitz. Some of the pictures are photographs I took myself at Auschwitz, while others are originally black and white photos in the public domain.

I believe that people of today are starting to regard the images of the Holocaust as 'history' which could not happen today.  By adding colour using digital manipulation, I believe I bring the images back into the present.  This could happen again.  I write this at the time that the Gaza-Israel conflict has started.  I have heard both sides accusing the other of being 'animals'.  That's how it started in Nazi Germany.

This image is of the toilet facilities.  Each hole is strategically placed so that they can get as many people into the smallest amount of space.
