MOVE MY BLOOD
A performance as a physical and visceral example of the situational predicament inside the female form. A demonstration of the strength exposed within the act of vulnerability. The broken and crippled pieces of our bones which weigh on our blood, our skin and our future. The violence we absorb to then alchemize as a force to move forward in our lives. The consequential abandonment we inhabit after giving away pieces of ourselves. We transform this state of being into power; knowledge of the unseen and an intelligent act of nature. It is our responsibility to tell this story of all unheard voices through our present form and flesh.
The performance is a physical composition of two woman who embody these predicaments through constructed and wild choreography. Dirt, soil and grit fly and color the performance space as an extension and consequence of our body’s behaviors and remnants. A moment in real time for the public to see and feel an honest expression of multiple transformations of femininity and its mark on the world through a visually eye-opening performance.
