JUDGE ME is a performance in the form of a court trial that brings about discussion and reflection about the dilemma of every single individual including artists regarding their value today that is dominated by consumerism and amusement. Based on my own experience and reflection, JUDGE ME offers an achingly honest, thought provoking and in-depth research-based performance led by the allegation between Plaintiff and Defendant (both portrayed by me) debating on whether artists’ values are fairly reflected today. 6 people from different professions are invited as witnesses on both sides. Audience is the jury by placing their votes via a specially designed software.
JUDGE ME is the second part of "The Value Trilogy" after Post Capitalistic Auction. JUDGE ME also follows my working method of performative events that are rigorously research-based and community-engaged in both the creative process and final presentation.
