Nature never ceases to amaze, it is an endless inspiration. It relaxes, stimulates thinking and action. Images, smells, sounds and light are the essence of human existence. In nature, they are dynamic, constantly changing and difficult to grasp. I paint with the conviction that I will be able to convey the specific atmosphere of each of the seasons seen through my eyes. I want to show my perspective on the landscape, share it with the viewer.
Sensitizing to nature and making us reflect on the essence of our life and transience - these are additional goals of my work. We are a part of nature and we should have special respect for it.
The painting Winter is part of the Four Seasons series, which was part of my diploma thesis at the Faculty of Art at the University of Opole, which I graduated in 2025. It was an attempt to face the space, light and color of different seasons. In the background, Antonio Vivaldi with his illustrative music, stimulating the imagination. I present one of the four concerts, in a painterly edition, which make up "The Four Seasons" with the hope that they will evoke a pleasant impression in the viewers.
Initially, I thought of an ascetic winter landscape, but during the work I decided to add a tree as a symbol of strength and survival. It is a mighty oak tree that is several decades old – monumental, solitary, attracting attention in this monotonous landscape stretching along the Relief Canal. The oak survived the flood in 1997 and subsequent floods. It is beautiful and already famous for its history, it is a place that gives shade on hot days, you can say, a cult place for walkers.
