Beyond the Bridge
There is a dream from my childhood that has never left me.
In it, I was always searching for a utopia beyond a distant bridge.
I wandered in search of a place that seemed somehow better,
chasing something I could never quite reach.
And each time,
I awoke before arriving.
The dream returned again and again,
always ending the same way.
For many years,
I longed to paint that dream.
As a child, I wanted to preserve it,
yet I had neither the words nor the means to express it.
It remained an unspoken longing,
one that quietly stayed with me.
Looking back,
I realize I spent much of my life searching for an imagined place—
a perfect day that existed only in my mind.
Now I know.
Such a place does not exist.
Life is not about discovering a ready-made utopia.
It is about patiently creating one's own.
As we continue to pursue something brighter than today,
each day becomes a place that has never existed before—
a singular landscape,
found nowhere else.
