This piece is from my most recent series “Curated Reality” inspired by the magical experience of staring through a microscope at dried up bits of paint on my work table. The solid gold panel is my signature, an adaptation of the traditional Chinese artist’s name stamp
Process: I make intuitive strokes with water soluble graphite on linen paper, then cut out the round sections, which are then carefully selected and adhered precisely to archival quality mat board.
