My drawing depicts an old ladder that I discovered in the middle of a forest in the Natisone valleys, in Friuli Venezia Giulia, Italy. It leads who knows where, nature has taken possession of it so that man does not discover its destination.
Those valleys are known for their mystical stories and folk legends, which are still told to children before going to sleep. The ladder represents for me the achievement of those dreams and those magical places that everyone imagines and desires and that they encounter along their path.
