The series of paintings "Time Requires Change" is related to the concept of time, both from
the perspective of physics, especially after I read the physicist Carlo Rovelli's book
"The Order of Time", and how humans perceive the passage of time,
especially when something changes.
I have used a grey background for many of my paintings, which resembles a chalkboard. For me, a chalkboard is a metaphor for time and memory. Even though the marks made on it are erased before new ones can be added, there are still faint traces and chalk dust left on the board. Time flows, memories remain or fade.
