This work was created during a period of psychological rupture, when drawing became a lifeline rather than a choice. It reflects a state of emotional overload and inner fragmentation - centered around the heart as a symbol of both exposure and protection. The red, black, and white palette embodies the tension between violence and vulnerability.
The piece was not planned or sketched. It emerged through instinctive movement, repetition, and the physical act of mark-making. The visceral lines and layered forms reflect how pain lives in the body - how it spills, contracts, and transforms.
The work is part of an ongoing exploration of depression, emotional disconnection, and the difficulty of making such invisible states visible. Through this image, I hope to create not explanation, but recognition for those who know what it feels like, and for those who may not yet understand.
