The Concept:
My work explores the dissolution of boundaries. At a time when identity is often defined by origin or belief, I create beings that belong to no single culture or religion. They are unique entities that merge into a collective "oneness." By using fragments of eyes and lips, I focus on the most primal tools of human connection-seeing and speaking
—freed from any social dogma.
The Technique & Material:
The choice of Yupo is essential to this narrative. Its non-porous, synthetic surface does not absorb the ink and acrylics; instead, it allows the pigments to flow, overlap, and settle in a state of constant fluidity. This materiality reflects the essence of the beings depicted: they are in a state of becoming, not fixed by borders.
The Viewer's Role:
I consider my work an "opera aperta" (open work). The fragments of paper added to the surface create a multidimensional space where the material meets the spiritual.
Ultimately, it is the viewer who completes the work through their own gaze and individual perception, breathing final life into these silent witnesses of a borderless world.
