“Mirror Man” is one part of the diptych 21st Century, a reflection on identity and perception in the modern world.
This work presents the human being as a receptacle of collective memory and emotion. The figure’s blue body becomes the sky — filled with birds, planes, and fragments of nature — while below, the shadows of destruction and memory smoulder in the background. The composition strikes a balance between fragility and monumentality. The bowed head evokes introspection, mourning, or quiet resilience — a silent echo of the turbulence that defines our age.
Here, man is both a part of the world and a fragment of the goodness we still have left.
