This work depicts a gradual collapse of one of our most vital resources: clean air.
Because this scarcity did not manifest itself with such force or urgency, humanity did not notice it. People go out, carry on with their daily lives—it all continues as before. Humans simply adapt; they just wear their masks to breathe, just as we once went out wearing face masks. Yet they often do this without looking back to address the root cause.
In the world of portraiture, there remains a focus on fashion and style, but also on small details of rebellion—as seen in the haute couture suit paired with punk boots.
But in all this waiting, there is a witness that goes almost unnoticed: a small sprout of a plant, reminding us that, even though we don’t notice them and most of the time don’t give them any importance, they are there, unstoppable, surviving even in post-apocalyptic scenes. Where we, little by little, even as we try to adapt, are dying out, and they continue and will continue to appear.
