The artwork wants to represent how much cities are built by and for men. On the one hand, domestic and caring activities still weigh heavily on the shoulders of women at home (in the majority of the cases). On the other hand, in working contexts women struggle for a career and a fair wage; places where they have to challenge on a daily basis the patriarchal hierarchy. The hands that come out of the windows to play with the planes indicate the need to escape from these spaces. The collage evokes the need to redesign urban and relational geographies, taking into account female approaches, needs and perspectives.
3D analog collage made with vintage magazine and colorful paper details (the little airplanes).
