It is 9 am. I spotted this supermarket parking lot for its light. I like the banality of the place. I don't know what I came for.
I observe.
I see repeated attitudes, common gestures. I notice a certain excitement.
Without thinking further, my camera captures everything.
What I see and what I will find out later.
Another time, it will be another place, other gestures, other looks, other small signifiers of our society.
I go fishing for a whole host of characters, the raw material for my reflection, for my emotions.
Then I sort, I classify, I amalgamate, I eliminate, I look for common attitudes, I discover possible collusion. I listen to the noises, I hear the whispers of these anonymous people transparent like the air we breathe.
You have no doubt already met them, they resemble us so much, their banality makes them universal.
