This work approaches space not as a fixed entity, but as a domain in process―continuously generated and transformed through the interaction of time and matter. The horizontal axis of the canvas represents the flow of time, while the shifting colors and textures from right to left symbolize the universe’s irreversible transformations. The use of diverse materials inscribes differences and temporal qualities into the very nature of matter.
Obsidian-like structures suggest a “fluctuation of form”―a state that holds shape yet resists fixation―evoking the distortion, displacement, and fluidity of space itself. This reflects dynamic spacetime structures in the theory of relativity, as well as the discrete and fluctuating spatial concepts found in quantum gravity and string theory.
The fusion of heterogeneous materials, multilayered structure, and ambiguity of boundaries all question the notion of the “frame” itself. In dialogue with the spatial and formal reconfigurations pursued by painting since Modernism, this work expresses a hypothesis: that fluid order―a state of continual destruction and reconstruction―is the fundamental condition of all things.
