Somberness

I chose the tree bark for my source because I think different sections of the tree’s bark have a certain uniqueness, like with people. People have their own colors and thoughts so the human is substituted by an abstraction of bark, to evoke emotion or thought of something other than barks. Also, I need to look at bark carefully so that I can examine its form and color. I cannot see details from far away. Similarly, people have many hidden emotions and thoughts. So humans have to approach others up close and then they can understand their hidden emotions and thoughts.  

At once, I am concerned with people’s inner and outer emotions and thoughts. There are active persons and inactive persons. I focus on inactive persons because I belong to this group. Sometimes passive persons want to erupt with their emotion and thought but it is hard to do.  A passive person has a lot of complex thinking so that they become paralyzed because they are always conscious of the consequences. I want to burst people’s hidden emotions through color and their thoughts through form.
