Ruby Bridges's Climb (2 of 2) is a watercolour's artwork on a 100% pure cotton paper.
It represents the climb of Ruby towards her purpose and the teacher who is famous for teaching Ruby Bridges. I tell you in a few lines the strenght of these two great women.
On the first day of school she wasn't scared by anything or anyone, just like the little girl. Barbara Henry, the teacher, was the only one who taught Ruby and did this for the whole year as if she had a class full of children, althought actually the rest of the school went away (both teachers and students). Ruby Bridges's bravery in continuing this climb - even if she was aware to be the only one in the whole school - and Barbara Henry's perseverance became a symbol of fight for American civil rights as well as for the rest of the world: for ignorants to open their minds and for us to understand how much you can get by doing the right thing. The most important thing is to never stop fighting for what we believe in.
