In this series of works I investigate the psychological concept of RESILIENCE and its formal relationship with the Japanese technique of Kintsugi, which consists of the repair of objects, generally ceramic, using resins sprinkled with gold.
The concept of RESILIENCE is closely and inevitably linked to that of MEMORY. Resilience consists of overcoming complicated situations, emerging stronger from them, so that in the future and with the use of MEMORY, we can face other complicated situations by doing use of what was LEARNED in previous events, and thus face a new complicated situation but without becoming so distressed and being able to learn from the difficulties.
Art wounded with the passage of time is the main point of view in this series of works and its subsequent repair, thus the object regains a new dimension, making MEMORY and highlighting those wounds caused by the passage of time. The wounds are not hidden But they are shown in a beautiful way, without complexes, beautifying the represented object even more if possible.
