This is the portrait of our eldest daughter Odilon. Even though she now lives independently, she has been coming home to celebrate carnival with her friends for more than 10 years. Here at home in the kitchen they dress up and make up, recall hilarious memories of previous years, look forward to the reunion with former classmates, friends and acquaintances. The carnival music plays to get into the right vibe, clothes and schminck articles everywhere. It's usually a bit chaotic and hurried. There is laughter and singing. A beautiful tradition.
Even though Carnival has left a negative
mark on the spread of Covid 19 in certain regions, with this painting I would
like to emphasize that for many people this traditional feast usually creates
the best memories together.
facial expression
The way she concentrates on making herself up, clearly doing her best, while
the lines on the face aren't exactly tight, cute.
