I paint domestic objects such as plates, pots and bowls and then break the base paper, that is, the structure that supports them, reflecting on stagnant social structures and inherited mandates. Using watercolours and the excess of water to think about the edges, limits, overflows and ruptures in both the material and emotional spheres.
By breaking the paper I think about the possibility of breaking and transforming these established patterns. I create fluid and open reflections on gender and space through holes, cracks and seemingly unfinished elements in my work.
