Heroic gestures before Death: "Paule" is an allegory of fight, projected as an epic story. The character finds out he is going to die soon, but decides to live his last moments as he lived his entire life: with courage, independence, immune to mainstream thinking and playing against all rules.
Although a descriptive work, the last imaginary journey of the hero is full of symbols. Some could only be explained by the artist (as the vertebra as sign of his illness), some are moving gestures universally understandable, as the red motorcycle standing still, sugesting the conflict between the wishes of the dying Paule and his real condition.
