I have carved a number of stone-stamps and tirelessly practiced calligraphy to strengthen control with my brush stroke. Upon application of thesetechniques, I treat a paper or canvas as a raw rock and sculpt it with thebrush. In this sense, I strive for the images to come to life, taking on multipleforms in the mind’s eye, from rough-hewn stone to overhead vistas ofmountainous terrain.
