Letizia Ballotti was born in 1979.

She graduated in Graphic Advertising and Photography at the Art Institute of Modena. She worked as a ceramic designer and she also collaborated with the famous set designer Rinaldo Rinaldi. 

In her artistic research she mainly uses the pencil, studying lights and surfaces. She experiments and mixes different background techniques, going towards the essential of the composition, in a creative synthesis where excellence is the aim. 

She draws bodies enclosed in an indefinite space. Solids and voids are an attempt at contact and dialogue between figures. Their gaze is not facing the viewer, but it is facing an endless horizon of questions that the human being sets himself in order to find the meaning of his own existence: where do we come from? What are we? Where are we going?
